Ch-ch-ch-changes!

I won't beat around the bush: the game has slowed down and we've had some bumps on the road, but I believe in this game and the players, which is why I did some revamping over the weekend.

These changes should be seamless for existing players, if not make things that much easier for them and add a few new things for them to play with. That said, if there ARE any questions, concerns, or serious issues with the changes, I definitely want feedback ASAP.

• No activity check. As of today, we'll be moving to a check in system with (totally optional) point buy for activity. There's more on the linked page!
  
• Plotting has been streamlined. We used to have this big long thing and a whole plotting comm and ultimately, it felt like red tape for the sake of red tape. The NEW plotting information can be found here on the FAQ.
  
• The calling_net community is now an OPEN community. This means that you can play on the comm without having apped. Which means you can invite friends or play with random characters or whatever! Think of it like a continual Fourth Wall event slash TDM. Why? Because why not? This might open up avenues for folks to move their plots and character development along in interesting ways as well as open the game for people to try.
  
• More ReQuests! We should be having some more explorations and other reQuests up soon! ReQuests are going to edge more towards self-guided adventure prompts in the future to help make sure that players can complete them and get their Quest rewards.
  
• A New TDM! That'll be going up ASAP.

Obviously, we just had an activity check and I don't want to make anyone feel like that effort was wasted. As such, all passed activity checks for the most recent AC post will be credited with 20 MI Points.

Hello Calling!

My name is Michi, and I'm bringing you Ana Amari from Overwatch! She's an elderly Egyptian woman who served basically her whole life in Overwatch--an international military organization that was set up to stop a bunch of renegade robots from destroying the world. Her role in the war was being a sniper, so she's really good at that. But stuff happened during a mission and she went MIA, so... she's going to hang out here while she lays low. :)

She cares a lot about people, and she gets attached to the ones she cares about; so you can expect her to adopt... pretty much anyone that's younger than her, if she thinks they need someone to watch out for them. There's a reason her squad nicknamed her "Mama Bear".

Ayo, I'm Azazel (or Az) and I've been dragged in by Michi & Co. to suffer with feels. I bring you...drum roll please...Dr. Angela "Mercy" Ziegler from Overwatch! A pacifist Swiss/German doctor who lost her parents in a robot vs. human war when she was a child and vowed to never, ever let that happen to anyone else again. So she dedicated her life to saving lives. She pioneered a breakthrough in the field of "applied nanobiology" that "radically improved the treatment of life-threatening illness and injuries". Overwatch, a military organization formed to fight those rogue robots, wanted in on that brilliant medical maestro. Now, Mercy was not at ALL down with the militaristic and violent approach that Overwatch tended to take, but recognized that this was an opportunity to save lives on a much, much larger scale. And so, Angela Ziegler, tagline Mercy, was appointed head of medical research.

Add a bunch of elipses to this story and arrive at the point I'm pulling her from: Overwatch dissolved, Mercy has dedicated herself to helping those afflicted by war, Mercy has decided that this city could use a hand and she could use a break from a world torn apart by senseless war. One where her technology was adapted as weapons, full of dead friends and pointless violence...
